Product information
Eyes are the organs of vision. They detect light and convert it into electro-chemical impulses in neurons. In higher organisms, the eye is a complex optical system which collects light from the surrounding environment, regulates its intensity through a diaphragm, focusses it through an adjustable assembly of lenses to form an image, converts this image into a set of electrical signals and transmits these signals to the brain through complex neural pathways that connect the eye via the optic nerve to the visual cortex and other areas of the brain(1)

The human eye is an organ that reacts to light and has several purposes. As a sense organ the mammalian eye allows vision. Rods and cones cells in the retina allow conscious light perception and vision including colour differentiation and the perception of depth. The human eye can distinguish about 10 million colours (2).

Life On Eye Vit-Life is made with unique formula which has Leutin, Bilberry, Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Grape Seed Extract, Beta-Carotene, Polyphenols, Zeaxanthin, Anthocyanidins.

Lutein is called a carotenoid Vitamin. It is related to Beta-carotene and Vitamin A.  Lutein as called as the eye Vitamin, is used to help prevent eye diseases including age-related macular degeneration (AMD), cataracts and retinitis pigmentosa. Lutein is one of two major carotenoids found as a colour pigment in the human eye (Macula and Retina). Its function as a light filter, protecting the eye tissues from sunlight damage (3).

Vitamin C (also known as ascorbic acid) is a water-soluble Vitamin and a powerful antioxidant. It also promotes healthy bones, skin and blood vessels, including the delicate capillaries in the retina. Consumption of Vitamin C reduces the risk of forming a cataract and vision loss from macular degeneration (4)

Bilberry fruit contains chemicals known as anthocyanosides, plant pigments that have excellent antioxidant properties. They scavenge damaging particles in the body known as free radicals, helping prevent or reverse damage to cells (5).

Vitamin E is an important Vitamin required for the proper function of many organs in the body. It is also an antioxidant. This means it helps to slow down processes that damage cells.  Vitamin E is used for treating and preventing diseases of the eye cataracts, heart and blood vessels including hardening of the arteries, heart attack, chest pain, leg pain due to blocked arteries and high blood pressure (6).

Grape seed extract contains oligomeric proanthocyanidins(OPCs) which are powerful antioxidants. Antioxidants protect cells from unstable molecules that can cause damage to healthy cells on the skin, OPCs in grape seed extract contain 20 times the antioxidant power of vitamin E and 50 times the antioxidant power of vitamin C. It also helps in treating hair loss (7).
